Ricardo Guerreiro + Nuno Torres - Inframince | 28:00

This 28 minutes studio recording captures the very first musical encounter of Nuno Torres (alto saxophone) and Ricardo Guerreiro (live-sampling) as a duo. The sounds you listen here were produced, sampled and processed in that moment. No previously recorded sound samples were played. Amplification (revealing transparency) and variation (heard as sets of reflections) are taken as the bottom lines for the musical interaction operated. The recording session comprised this take only. No additional editings or mixings were made with the exception that some seconds were cut at both the beggining and ending of the track, ajusting it to the required duration (the original has circa 29 minutes). Recorded the 2010/06/02 from 12:07 to 12:37, at Estrela studio. Mastered by Carlos Santos. Nuno Torres Born in Lisbon in 1977, where he lives and from where he expands his activity. Developed the study of the alto saxophone in the field of Jazz and since then took part in several ensembles in the area of improvised and electro-acoustic music. Ricardo Guerreiro Born in Lisbon in 1975. He works in the development of models for the performance and composition of interactive sonological emergence situations. Zepelim - Dez Mil Russos | 57:00

DescriptionThe romantic-pop ballads had in Demis Roussos one of the leading figures. Themes like “Forever and Ever” linger on the collective memory, nestled on car rides listening to the sound of Discos Perdidos of Radio Cister. But the memory processes distort the information they should keep… 2. Radio Horror retrives the difuse dread of an evening alone at home. Terrified, little Timmy buries himself further on the couch. “Where’s mommy?”. Mommy went out for ciagarettes. Timmy knows it, but he shares the very human passion for horror… Zepelim is a weekly radio show broadcast by RUC and directed by Carlo Patrão and José Afonso Biscaia website: http://zeppelinruc.wordpress.com

Tension Co. - “Up on the roof” | 28:00

Up on the Roof” is a piece composed by Tension Co. of 28 minutes, whose implementation is based on field recordings made in the roof of our house in Seville during the 11th and May 12th, 2010 in a time range from 20:00 to 23:00. We have used four small radios distributed at the corners of the roof and4 condenser microphones designed variable opening to each of the radios. During the course of the recordings have been manipulating the dial of equipment and playing live with the short-wave broadcasts and FM. We have also been changing the position of radios and microphones in order to achieve different sound levels. These recordings were then manipulated and processed using FM synthesis. “Up on the Roof” is a piece that speaks of our vision of the sonosphere of a place like Seville, through radio waves and the surrounding sounds. — - Tension Co., experimental electronic duo based in Seville composed by Miriam Blanch and José M ª Pérez-Flor (Huelva-Cádiz). His methods of composition are always digital, but most often stem from external sound sources or field recordings of various origin.
