“On August, 1st, the fantastic Brazilian singer/ songwriter Manu Lafer is performing for the first time in Germany as part of the Amazon section in this year’s Wassermusik festival. In normal life he is travelling as a pediatrician through the villages of the Amazon rain forest, but friendship with members of the legendary Caymmi clan made it possible for him to release a record every now and then. Detlef Diederichsen takes the occasion to introduce the music of Manu Lafer and the Caymmis (daddy Dorival, daughter Nana, sons Dori and Danilo) to the listeners.”
