“Hey, Berlin is such an awesome city; I’m going to move there for the summer and do some arty stuff.” People have been coming to Berlin to make music for many years. Just recently it’s a real international run on the city. What does this growing stream of people coming in from all over the world actually contribute to the cultural and music scenes? What is the influence? Is there something like an expat music scene? With a particular sound?
Speaking of music scenes, are there some typical Berlin sounds anyway?
And, is the current, say “cultural migration” and the impact it has on Berlin music scenes different from the past?
