Schrecklich aber wahr, dies ist die letzte ALTER EGO RADIO SHOW in absehbarer Zeit. Diesmal ist Barakat nicht nur Moderator, aber auch Gast mit seinem Projekt PHAROAH CHROMIUM von dem er Teile seiner Ende Juli erscheinenden Doppel LP “ELECTRICREMATION” vorstellen wird, zudem wird er auch Live im Studio improvisieren. Zur Diskussion steht die Musikrichtung Ethno Doom im Vordergrund und einer ihrer möglichen Vorreiter die Griechische Musik der städtischen Subkultur der 30er und 40er Jahre des vorigen Jahrhunderts, Rembetiko.

Ugly but true, this will be the last ALTER EGO RADIO SHOW as we know it. This time Barakat will also act as a special guest with his new project PHAROAH CHROMIUM and present some excerpts of the upcoming double album “ELECTRICREMATION”  (release date July 2011) and perform live in the studio. Zastrow will discuss a musical direction called Ethno Doom and it’s possible precursor in Greek Rebetiko, a countercultural musical stream rooted in the urban life of the 30’s and 40’s of the last century.
