“I don’t feel right about this,’ Wyn-No-Nah whispered as they stood in line, waiting while Mad Madalaine drew the magic circle with the sword.
“About what?” Aaron asked.
“This,” she repeated. “The meeting. Something’s wrong.”
Aaron studied the fellow members of the coven; it was the same group. Everything was proceeding as it had last time. Nothing seemed amiss.
“What seems to be wrong?” he asked.
“I don’t know. I just don’t feel right about it.”
“Are you getting bad signals?”
“No. I don’t know. They’re just confused.” She watched Mad Madalaine go through the opening ritual. “No one else appears to be worried. I suppose I’m wrong.”
