How might the public space of radio become a dance hall for unlocatable bodies? Good question, but this is one among others which spark Netta Weiser`s ongoing dance research. Working between Berlin and Cologne, Netta explores and mobilises invisible histories with and through the body. She publishes waiting manuals, visits forests which were planted for political purposes, broadcasts radiophonic dances and practices qigong. With her project “Radio Choreography”–which will premiere in Berlin in July 2021–she is currently an artist in residence at the Studio for Electroacoustic music at the Akademie der Künste in Berlin. Anna Bromley met her for an hour-long talk about Netta`s radiophonic choreoraphy process.
