Let me take you to the 90s dance floor. House shall be played and house shall be shared!
My name is Heidi Mortenson aka Phtalo and I’m gonna delve into the magic of discovering dance music from back when synths and drum machines became available for young people with bedroom studios and turntables. I’ll reveal a line up of electronic inspiration through the decades. We’ll talk about the tracks played, nerd out a little on the music production and bizarre details. At times I’ll be joined by fellow musicians and audio producers who pick a track that has influenced them and kindly tell us a personal story about it. Mostly I’ll fill up your haus with house and hopefully you’ll have a dance in the kitchen, soothe your mood while working, or just cool & calm nod your head while on the U-bahn. Welcome to a place for music lovers of all genders & colors, and listeners alike. Mi casa es tu casa!

I wanted to call this episode “When there’s a world crisis we need techno”. As in we need escapism, to dance and feel the burden lift off our shoulders, oh to be free! We need an outlet for all the chaos. Nina Simone once said Freedom is “no fear”! Let’s be fearless in this episode of techno, find your UFO and let loose. Hands in the air and shake it off. We ponder technology and listen to tracks that you wont believe was made in 1993 or 1997. We travel also in the recent yesterday which is 2021. We go high energy, we go rave mode and cat nip till we fly up above the heavy dark clouds. And one more thing: we dance with the Finish Primeminister Sanna Marin. Take this techno and be free!
