While writing in Cologne, its senders note that at the same time people in Iran are actually putting their lives on the line for basic human rights by participating in street protests.
In this LAUTSTROM edition a co-initiator of the „feminists4jina“ talks about how the feminist movement in Iran was formed. She describes with which entanglements of neoliberal and fundamentalist-religious body politics people who are assumed to be women have to face in the Middle East today. And she has brought songs of the transnational feminist movement in and around Iran as well as hints on how we can show solidarity with it.
