“Everybody was going on about karma … But it occurred to me that karma is instant as well as it influences your past life or your future life … So the idea of instantkarma was like the idea of instant coffee: presenting something in a new form.” JOHN LENNON

Margareth Kammerer, Singer/musician/composer.

Lives and works in Berlin

Margareth Kammerer is a singer, musician and composer who works solo and in various ensembles and projects.
In her artistic work she focuses on form and sound: on the one hand on expanded and permeable structures, on the other hand on working on a “multi-layered” sound of the voice.
Her work includes her own compositions, music for theatre, film and radio plays.
She regularly collaborates with musicians from the “real-time music” scene, researches expanded forms of the song and also works as an interpreter of works by other composers.
In her songs she often works with texts from modern and contemporary literature, such as E.E Cummings, Anne Carson, Tchicaya U Tam’si, Virginia Woolf and others.

In recent years, in addition to her solo, she has increasingly collaborated with ensembles, musicians and artists on very different formats,
for exampel with the composer/improviser ensemble „Les Femmes Savantes“, with Sabine Ercklentz, Lucile Desamory, Andrew Lafkas, Kai Fagaschinski, Michael Thieke , Christof Kurzmann, Aaron Snyder aka Big Daddy Mugglestone, Nicholas Bussmann and Cottbusser Choir and many others.
