ARTIST TANKA FONTA IN CONVERSATION WITH
SAVVY Contemporary CURATOR LYNHAN BALATBAT-HELBOCK

“Even before we appear on this planet, there has been sound. When you talk of sound you have to think in terms of vibrations. When you are talking of vibrations, then you are already going into the area of conversations”, reflects artist Tanka Fonta. What is the matter of the musician, from where do they get their inspiration, and how do they recompose the constellation of the planets ? A conversation like a painting. A painting like an essay. At the shores of impossibilities. And their beauties.

Tanka Fonta was born in the highland region of Cameroon in west-central Africa where he pursued his formal educational studies. He has pursued a wide variety of interests in the arts, music, cultures of the world & education.
